William E. Hay, the grandfather of Hayco’s founder Donald Hay, established S.A.Brush Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of cleaning products in Australia.

1938

1938 S.A. Brush Co. Ltd. is renamed SABCO, and under new leadership of William’s son F. Dean Hay the company grew significantly.

1961

Following family tradition, Donald Hay the son of F. Dean Hay and grandson of William E. Hay joined SABCO. Today, SABCO continues to enjoy success.

1983

1983 Donald Hay foresaw Asia’s pre-eminent role in global manufacturing, so after gaining two decades of international experience at SABCO, Donald left the family company to establish HAYCO in Hong Kong.

A metal processing factory in Guangdong, along with a fabric and stitching factory in Guangzhou, China, was set-up from the establishment of two joint ventures.

1988

1988 Hayco formed a brush making and injection molding joint venture, a move prevalent to its enduring success today.

A small yet dedicated team of staff were the driving force behind the company’s imminent growth.

1994The original Hayco logo is refreshed to its current look and feel.

1995 Hayco set up its first wholly-owned enterprise in Shenzhen, China.

With a commitment to vertical integration, operations expanded rapidly over the next 10 years to cater for the growing demand of its customers’ needs.

‘Hayco Home’, a large-scale staff dormitory, located in close proximity to the factory was built. To this day it provides high-quality living conditions.

2002 Donald Hay wins the ‘Owner-Operator Award’ at the ‘Hong Kong Business Awards Ceremony’, in recognition of his fundamental contributions to economic viability.

Introduction of SAP, a fully integrated business management system, which increases the efficiency of cross-functional processes.

2005 Acquisition of a former strategic mold making and injection molding vendor further streamlines operations.

2010 Recognized as a top performing global partner.

2012 Awarded ‘Most Innovative Supplier’

2013Marked its 30th anniversary.Christopher Hay is appointed C.E.O. of Hayco Group on March 1st, and Donald Hay assumes the role of Executive Chairman.Received an ‘External Business Partner Excellence Award’ for the sixth consecutive year.
