One Hayco: Protecting Our Employees, Customers and Community

At Hayco, our management team has astonishingly and appreciatively witnessed how all our team members have exceeded expectations during these turbulent times. The Hayco team has risen to the challenge and gone above and beyond in making continuous efforts to keep all the staff safe while ensuring an efficient operation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While our leading priority is to take all necessary precautions and be up-to-date with regulations and guidelines set by the World Health Organization, we are pleased to see how our offices and factories across the world have embraced the ‘One-Hayco’ culture. 

Our ‘One-Hayco’ culture is the core DNA of the company as it promotes the unity of one system, one culture, and one team. Over the past few months, we have been amazed by the company’s spirit and willingness to help - from staff volunteering to work since Chinese New Year, employees working across sites and time-zone differences to support customers and business continuity, to even our team in the Dominican Republic and China sending supplies of masks to support each other during the pandemic.

Hayco has collaborated with Adozona to donate 45,000 masks to the Dominican government, in a joint effort with companies in the Dominican Association of Free Zones. This equipment is essential for health teams tackling COVID-19 and allows them to continue working for the health and safety of Dominicans, without putting their lives at risk.

We have shown great support to the community by donating masks to Hong Kong elderly homes, and heavily involved in supporting Les Beatitudes, a nonprofit organization in Hong Kong, that comprises stay-at-home moms who stitch recyclable materials to craft 1,000 recyclable masks for primary students in need. 

At Hayco, we pride ourselves on our customer relations. Our thriving culture of partnership, innovation, and excellence has allowed us to maintain a positive relationship with our clients while working through the barriers of COVID-19. Throughout this process, we have had complete transparency and clear communication with all our customers, while continuously working diligently to deliver goods and to ensure the safety and sanitation processes during shipment.

Mandatory rules and regulations are currently being implemented to maintain our staff and processes as safe as possible across our sites in China, Hong Kong, and the Dominican Republic. All staff in factories are required to wash their hands before and after involvement with production, temperature checks are conducted six times a day, and staff has to declare any recent travel history, as well as interviews with all staff members before they resume work. We work closely with all our employees to demonstrate integrity and honesty in our communication.
