Develop and implement the optimum technical and economic plan for injection mold maintenance, repairing, refurbishing and transferring of plastic injection mold. This position will work as team member of IM/MM with internal and external customers to ensure the entire mold is well maintained to achieve the established performance standards on quality, down time and cost in order to support the Company production.

Responsibilities

  • Develop maintenance program master plan and implement key actions to ensure timeliness and quality execution of program objectives.
  • Define the level of spare parts to be kept in SAP system.
  • Follow up on mold warranty period; assign the right resources to upkeep the mold running conditions during operations hence prolonging the mold life in accordance with CAF.
  • Make sure warranty steel dimensions during the mold life is within specification.
  • Plan, make and prepare program materials (plan for mold maintenance , etc.) with internal and external stakeholders for clear goals when a program is launched
  • Standardize tools, mentor the team and improve the communication with internal customers (e.g., action log, meetings, minutes, etc.); and to streamline response and avoid misunderstanding.
  • Implement on going productivity improvement to achieve established Key Performance Indices
  • Manage staff performance, provide performance evaluation, provide rewards and conduct disciplinary action to employees, address employee grievance and resolve employee issues.
  • Manage mold refurbishment, mold modification and fixture development activities with associated personnel.

Qualifications

  • An accredited college or Degree is preferred. Higher Diploma is required.
  • 5-10 years of work experience in running a mold maintenance, repair, refurbishment and modification function within a mold department of comparable size.
  • Professional certification in mold making will have an advantage
  • Specialty in precision machining, mold making, mold repair and molding process engineering is required.
  • Good judgment, showing strong business acumen, decision on quality perspective and technical problem solving.
  • Understand ISO standards and commonly acceptable KPI for mold maintenance.
  • Leadership skills including ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Decision making skill.
  • Strong and effective communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation and negotiation.
  • Spanish is a MUST.
